Our Safety Protocols
The health and safety of our patients and team is built into every aspect of how we operate. Here is what that looks like in practice.
What We Do to Keep You Safe
Secure Patient Communication
We use a HIPAA-protected secure texting program to make communicating with our patients easy and private.
Surgically Clean Air Purification
Each treatment room and hallway space is equipped with Surgically Clean Air purification units that completely turn the air over every four minutes, or 15 air changes per hour.
Extra-Oral Aerosol Suction
Every room has a DentAirVac extra-oral suction unit that reduces aerosols four times more than any other unit on the market. This is especially important during mercury filling removal.
Hospital-Grade HVAC Filtration
Our HVAC system includes UV-C treatment, electrostatic filtration, and a MERV-15 rated HEPA filter, the same grade used in hospital surgical suites. Every patient room has sealed doors to facilitate negative pressure airflow.
ASTM Level 3 Masks
All team members wear ASTM Level 3 masks, the highest level of protection available for dental settings
Ozonated Water Lines
We use an ozone generator to produce ozonated water for all water lines, ensuring zero bacterial colonies. Our water is regularly tested.
Protective Garments
Team members wear fluid-resistant Level 3 gowns that are changed between each patient and washed on site to minimize waste. Scrubs and head coverings stay in the building and are never worn outside.
Extended Appointment Times
Since 2020 we have increased appointment times, added extra time between each patient to allow for full air turnover, and reduced our total patient volume per day by 20 percent.
